Sheep’s Head Peninsula – Glengarriff

The Tour starts with a relaxing visit to the villages of Durrus, Ahakista and Kilcrohane en route to the Sheep’s Head Lighthouse and discover the history and traditions of its people. On leaving the Sheep’s Head, continue by traversing the scenic Goat’s Path and absorb the beauty of the Mizen and Beara Peninsulas at either side. On arriving back to the outskirts of Bantry, guests can take the option of a 30 minute walk to the tranquil Lady’s Well which overlooks the beautiful Bantry Bay. After Lunch, the Tour continues its route on the N71 (which overlooks Whiddy Island) to the picturesque village of Glengarriff and takes a boat trip to Garnish Island which is renowned for its beautiful walkways through the stunning gardens, with its many rare plants which only grow in this area’s mild microclimate. The garden stroll may also include a visit to a Grecian temple and the Martello Tower, while taking in the beautiful views and complementing scenery. On returning to Glengarriff, the Tour continues with a brief stroll visiting a variety of gift shops which line the village. The Tour concludes with a return trip to accommodation.
